King Khan & BBQ Show is a Canadian garage rock duo from Montreal, Quebec, which is a combination of Doo-Wop and punk. Group consists of former Spaceshits bandmates Mark Sultan and BlackSnake, also known as King Khan. Mark Sultan, under the pseudonym BBQ, contributes vocals, guitar, tambourine, drum and snare drum, and the King Khan, provides guitar and vocals.BBQ Show and King Khan tickets has collaborated as members of the Montreal based Spaceshits from 1995-99. In mid-1999 European tour, BlackSnake (as the King Khan was known) chose to remain in Germany. Spaceshits, prefer not to continue without BlackSnake, disintegrated. Later in 1999, Mark Sultan started another Montreal based group, Les Sexareenos, before venturing off on his own in 2002 as a one-man band under the pseudonym BBQ. It is like a barbecue, that Mark Sultan re-established contact with BlackSnake, playing with a new group BlackSnake, King Khan & Shrines. They started writing songs together in the apartment BlackSnake in Germany, playing them live on sporadic shows in Germany and Spain. In 2004 the band recorded their first album as King Khan & BBQ Show event, releasing “The King Khan & BBQ Show Company in America Goner Records and reports on Hazelwood in Europe. Album was recorded by DM Bob in Hamburg, Germany. In support of the album, the band started a world tour with stops in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, USA and South America. 2006 the band released their second album, “What’s for dinner?” In At Red Records. In 2008, enter magazine crowned King Khan’s best performer in 2008 . July 31, 2009, Pitchfork Media reported that King Khan & BBQ will be releasing Invisible Girl (Album) in November.
