The Freeze is rock hardcore punk band from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The moratorium was formed in late 1978.At that time, all members were in school. The moratorium, as a rule, is considered a group of Boston hardcore, but they never completely fit into the typical shape of Boston. Like most hardcore groups, a group of enthusiastic young people was launched. Indeed, despite the popularity of their first record, the group’s ability to benefit from their local fame was limited only by their age at the time. Most members were not old enough to drive from Boston, the local mecca of hardcore. The moratorium was neither direct nor the edge of heavy metals under the influence, like their Boston contemporaries DYS and SSD .The Freeze  tickets has a more melodic sound which hints more to punk than hardcore.Clif Hanger (real name: Clifton Croce), vocalist freezing, created tens of all ages shows in Cape Cod in the early years of American hardcore music. Almost all of the band Boston played with Hardcore moratorium on these shows, as well as nationally known bands like Black Flag.They also went on two great successful tour after the release of their “guilty face” EP and “Land of Lost” LP. The Freeze event has undergone numerous changes in lineup, but they appreciated their durability and unwavering idealism. Currently, CLIF Suspension remains the only original member. The moratorium had greater success in the field of hardcore punk, but their influence on the latter more melodic punk and hardcore is much more serious than their fans. 2007/2008 will be a busy year for the group of them. With his new label beer city, the moratorium will put out a comprehensive “Best Of” CD / DVD entitled 27 years of defiance in the spring, followed by their third tour of Europe, as well as their long-expected second round of the U.S.
