Pnuma Trio is an electronic music group, resulting in a classical, jazz, funk, hip-hop and drum and bass influences. In a recent article in Art’s voice called Pnuma Trio “Music of the Future. Pnuma Trio consists of Alex Botwin on bass, Ben Hazlegrove on keyboards, and Lane Shaw on drums. Hazlegrove received classical training at Berklee College of Music. Pnuma Trio was born in December 2004 and began practicing and performing in Memphis, Tennessee. In his career, Pnuma Trio tickets has toured the U.S. extensively, and Japan, and Australia. They were the only American team in the 2006′s Exodus Festival in Australia. They shared the stage with bands like Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Zilla, Michael Franti, String Cheese incident, and Buckethead among others.During the summer of 2007, the group will be largely a tourist festival circuit with stops at Wakarusa, summer camps and 10000 Lake Festival, Joshua Tree Music Festival, and Nelson ledges.Within the electronic music community, the followers Pnuma Trio event grow steadily. According to JamBase, “they became one of the most talked about young bands in the country.”Pnuma Trio have just completed a new studio album, entitled “Character”, which was released on Columbia Records Japan Division September 25, 2007.
