Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) is a ballet company based in Seattle, Washington in the United States. Founded in 1972 as part of the Seattle Opera and called the Pacific Northwest Dance Association, he was separated from the opera in 1977 and adopted its current name in 1978. They say that there is a high attendance per capita in the United States, with 11000 subscribers. Its founding artistic director, Kent Stowell and Francia Russell, left at the end of the 2004-2005 season.Both of them studied and danced with George Balanchine.Peter Boal succeeded Stowell and Russell’s artistic director after their retirement. The company carries out with 44 dancers, fourteen of which are the principles, six soloists, twenty-four corps de ballet dancers and two apprentices. There are more than 100 performances throughout year. Pacific Northwest Ballet PNB acts McCaw Hall Seattle Center. In addition, it includes a “Blog of the Director,” written by Boal to discuss his role of artistic director.
