I guess the best way to describe Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons is The Last Doo Wop Group. They first broke in the early 60s and were one of the few groups to survive The British Invasion.

Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons American pop and rock band, the sound is somewhat similar to Doo-Wop, although they did not think, in fact, Doo-Wop group. By mid-1960 she became world-famous rock ‘n’ roll (Law Vocal Group Hall of Fame announced that it was the most popular rock band the white front of The Beatles). Since 1967, they were known off and on as Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons tickets, though not identified as such on any of its records.The Four Seasons released their first single in 1961 ( “Bermuda” / “Spanish Lace” at Gone Records). Although one can not chart songs gave enough following to be signed with Vee-Jay Records later this year. They were the first not black artists to sign with Vee-Jay. In 1962 the band released their first album, featuring the single “Sherry”, which was not only their first hit identified, but their first hit song. Under the guidance of producer / composer Bob Crewe, Four Seasons followed by “Sherry” several million-selling hits, including “Big Girls Do not Cry” (their second # 1 hit), “Walk Like A Man” (their third number 1), “Candy Girl “,” Ain’t That A Shame “, and others. In addition, they released a Christmas album in December 1962 and identified with a unique performance of “Santa Claus is coming to town.” From 1962 until early 1964, only  Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons event Beach Boys meet the Four Seasons in record sales in the United States, and their first three-Vee Jay did not release a feast marking the first time that a vocal group hit # 1 on the Billboard Singles Charts with three consecutive records (without regard to their version of “Santa Claus is coming to town”).
