Dear and the headlights are an indie-rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. They released two well-known demo, recorded future bassist Chuck Duff, before their debut album was released. This demo includes five songs re-recorded album. The most noticeable changes to the songs on the re-entry was a drop from standard guitar tuning to E flat standard settings. Two songs heard on their purevolume.com page, recorded acoustic on local radio shows, and later appeared small steps, heavy hooves. Small steps, heavy hooves, their debut album, was released on February 6, 2007 on Equal Vision Records.Joel Marquard (guitar and keyboards) and Ian Metzger (vocals and acoustic) started playing together around 2002. Marquard Metzger convinced that they need to create a group, but Ian did not want to because of some negative experiences with a Christian group called Justifide he co-founded in 1999. In the end he gave up and quickly found Marquard PJ Waxman, who originally started playing drums in the group, until they realized that he was a talented guitarist. SP is also known for expressing the character of “The Brave One”, which my sister Ducky in animated movie “The Land Before Time”, although it did not turn it into a film formally.Despite the success of the film, PJ felt his calling in music. After PJ assumed the role of guitarist, Dat is still without a drummer and bassist. They tried a few people, but nothing worked. Joel received a phone call from an old friend and former Mate Group on behalf of Chuckie Duff, who played bass guitar and recently bought the recording equipment that he wants to try. So the next day he came back and recorded three songs (Sweet Talk, Daysleeper the Run in the front.) Songs were successful, but Yang was burned trying to find people in the group, and is determined to move to California. Duff listened to the demo and fell more and more in love. He was determined not to let them surrender.Dear and the headlights event includes five songs re-recorded album.
