Platters ,Coaster & Marvelettes were successful vocal group of early rock ‘n’ roll era. Their distinctive sound was a bridge between the pre-rock Tin Pan Alley tradition, and a huge new genre. The original members were Alex Hodge, Cornell Gunter, David Lynch, Joe Jefferson, Gaynel Hodge and grass Reed.The group list has changed many times. The original lineup in 1953 included singer Cornell Gunter, Herb Reed, Alex Hodge, Joe Jefferson, and David Lynch.
