Angie Stone

Angie Stone (born Angel Laverne Brown on December 18, 1961) is an American R & B and soul singer-songwriter, keyboardist, composer, producer, and sometimes actress.Stone was born in Columbia, South Carolina, where she began singing gospel music at First Nazareth Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Blakely N. Scott. She has a daughter and son. Her daughter, Diamond (born 1984) from her marriage with Rodney Stone (also known as Rodney C Lil ‘!, From hip-hop group Funky Four Plus One). Diamond contributed backing vocals to her 2007 song “Baby”, and gave birth to a grandson Angie Stone  tickets in 2008. In the 1990 stone from the neo-soul artist D’Angelo. Their son Michael was born in 1998. Stone is engaged with the airline auditor of Ashanti, who has two children from her own.Stone appeared in 1990 under the R & B trio Vertical Hold which released the popular single “It looks like you’re too busy, as well as two albums: A Matter Of Time (1993), and Head First (1995). In 1996, she teamed up with Gerry Devaux (Lenny Kravitz’s cousin), and together with Charlie They say they have formed Devox. They recorded one album, Devox B. Featuring Angie Stone. Released in Japan only Toshiba EMI, it included stone-written material.Angie Stone event shared song credits on D’Angelo’s first two studio albums, Brown Sugar (1995) and Voodoo (2000), as well as providing backing vocals on tour with him.Her solo debut album, Black Diamond, was released on September 28, 1999 on Arista Records; album would eventually be certified gold RIAA. She was released on Clive Davis’ J Records, Mahogany Soul October 16, 2001 (which also went gold), and Stone Love 6 July 2004.
