Tom Dreesen

Tom Dreesen (born September 11, 1942) is an American comedian.

Tom Dreesen tickets grew up in Harvey, Illinois, south of Chicago. His family was one of the few white families in the largely African Americans. While running an insurance agent in 1968, he met Tim Reid through the local branch of Jaycee, and two merged to form the first biracial comedy Duo in the United States.

Although their material is now considered advanced for its time, the couple tried to make a living together and broke up in mid-1970′s. However, each found some success: while Reid has landed the role on WKRP in Cincinnati, Dreesen became a regular on the Tonight Show and toured with Frank Sinatra as the opening of Act crooner’s. In 1989, Dreesen released a comedy album by Flying Fish Records called the Crazy White Boy’s. The album was recorded in front of all black audience in Harvey, Illinois.

Tom Dreesen events continues to perform today. He is also involved in charitable endeavors and holds an annual golf tournament, called the Tom Dreesen Celebrity Classic. In 2008 DREESEN, Reid, and former Chicago Sun-Times sports Ron Rapoport collaborated on the book Tim and Tom: American comedy in black and white.
