Stone Pony Band

Stone Pony Band, is a well known pop and rock music venue located at the corner of 2 nd and Ocean Avenues, across the street from the boardwalk in Asbury Park, New Jersey.The Stone Pony initially emphasized the then rising disco sound, Roig and Pielka found success in this format in its first venture, Club Seaside Heights called The Magic Touch. Two of the band began booking they knew from their days working a bouncer at another club nearby Riptide in Point Pleasant Beach, including the colony and the Southern Cross. Unknown in a friendly Asbury Park music community, they failed to attract much of the crowd and the club continues to struggle financially. In addition, the Pony Control received several police records UPS and face hostility from the local town reopened council.Santana Stone Pony in May 2000. He sold the club to a real estate development company Asbury Partners, LLC in 2003, but remains an open place under the same name. A Stone Pony band ticket continues to attract Top musical artists from around the world, as well as demonstrate the up-coming local acts. Last performers included the Reverend Horton Heat, Nicole Atkins, New York Dolls, and Gov’t Mule. Bruce Springsteen still sometimes comes to jam with lining, as he did on May 17, 2008 from the current Social Distortion singer Mike Ness. Stone Pony band event also organizes the annual Asbury Music Awards, during a ceremony to show that the function of a continuous set of local recording artists representing the best talents in the field of multiple genres. Show takes place annually in November, and honored guests appear on the basis of materials from several points of local media, including but not limited to, Aquarius, and saint, WBJB FM.
